Last Day of Holiday
Monday, October 30th, 2006Quick lunch @Puri because my tummy is yowling like a cat with its tail trodded.
Then dropped by @the VCD Rental place (was late again, I can’t believe it! Have turned forgetful because someone keeps telling me I’m old.) I picked up Buffallo Soldiers again; got to remembering the moan Joaquin made when… ooops, I cannot talk about it here, some under-17s might be reading this. Let’s just say, I want to see the scene again. *Chesire-cat grin*
While waiting for the VCD girl to find my choices, I had to endure a very stupid monologue from a movie the place was then playing. I asked the girl (jeez, I still haven’t asked for her name, what’s wrong with me?) what the movie was. "Gue Kapok Jatuh Cinta," she told me.
For the all the saints in the world, I can never picture a man saying all those things. I don’t mean in a good way, as I once commented such after watching A Walk in The Clouds. The Keanu Reeves character is a little bit over the moon but you know, men had been there.
But this guy in GKJT says things that, for me, would be more apt for a girl to say. No self-respecting man would ever say such thing. Either never, or he’s reciting it from a book to try to get into a girl’s pants.
I don’t mean to undermine Indonesian movies. It’s just that so far, I haven’t been able to find a movie with natural dialogues. Also, most of the time, the characters are way too extreme. Either too typical or too strange that nobody can ever identify with.
The connection timed out while I was still online. Damn. I waited it out because I figured, OK., I might as well change my password. Which I actually hate to do. I love my current password!
I finally remembered one of the To Do things I always have but never took to the browsing centre with me. Search for Tommy Tjokro. Hehehe. Nothing so far, though, except for women and men alike drooling over him. Erotic fantasies from the men and lots of account of mind-numbing, hypnotic encounters from the women.
Continued… Hm, this guy seems to love books. Most of the search result tell me about him doing a book reading and there’s a couple about him giving comments on some books. OK., I think it’s a sign for me to get my ass in gear and finish my own book.
More continuation… Whoops, is he also a writer? Jeez. What did I tell you? Living in Ciledug is like being buried alive. I know nothing!
Still about TTjokro… Hah, I was right. He was the guy I voted for during the 2003 MTV VJ Hunt. I’m still mourning MTV’s decision to pick Daniel but I’m glad Tommy ended up where he is now.
Anyway, the results are starting to get crazy so I guess I’ll stop now. It’s late anyway, so hasta la vista, amigos. Hope I’d be able to update as often later.
